City Tabernacle now occupies a building that was originally constructed as a Lutheran church in 1889. The structure showcases classic Gothic Revival traits, with its towering spire, pointed arch windows, and a steeply pitched roof, all drawing the eye upward in a display of spiritual reverence. Once a place of Lutheran worship, the building has since been repurposed to house City Tabernacle Christian Church. The interior features wooden pews and the original stained glass windows, preserving the sacred atmosphere for which the building was created.
The building is known as the “Jewel of the City.”
