Skeptics, Seekers, & the Sincere Are Welcome

At City Tabernacle, we invite those who question or doubt Christianity to engage with us through thoughtful exploration of faith. Whether you wrestle with difficult topics or seek to understand deeper truths, we offer a space where intellectual inquiry meets the profound claims of the gospel. Join us for open discussions, resources, and a Q&A session as we explore life’s most significant questions together.

All Are Welcome To Explore

In our world, belief is not always easy, and we understand that questions about faith, truth, and life’s meaning are more than just intellectual exercises—they strike at the heart of who we are. Here, we welcome both the curious and the critical to explore the Christian faith not by adopting inherited traditions blindly, but by engaging in honest, thoughtful reflection.

Christianity invites you to wrestle with profound questions, ones that touch on morality, purpose, and the very nature of reality itself. For over two thousand years, people have found in Christ answers that satisfy both the heart and the mind. Yet, we recognize that those answers are not obvious, and they are certainly not shallow. This is why, here at City Tabernacle, we welcome anyone willing to seek truth, whether your journey is born out of skepticism or sincere curiosity.

Christianity invites you to wrestle with profound questions that touch on morality, purpose, and the very nature of life itself.

We offer resources and forums to explore the most challenging topics—why is there suffering? How can a good God exist amidst so much evil? Is the Bible credible? These are the weighty questions that philosophers, theologians, and everyday people have wrestled with for centuries. We believe that Christianity has compelling answers, and we invite you to test those claims with rigor.

In the tradition of Reformed thought, as exemplified by theologians like Augustine, Edwards, and Calvin, we understand that God’s truth is both transcendent and accessible. Our worship services and small groups (see our calendar for details) are not just gatherings but spaces where doubts are taken seriously, where questions are welcomed, and where we collectively seek understanding.

Join us not to be persuaded by human wisdom but to encounter the living God who speaks through His Word. And if you’re seeking, come with an open heart and a critical mind, for we are confident that the truth of the gospel is big enough for both.

Connect With A Questioning Christianity Small Group

If you are exploring Christianity and want to engage in meaningful discussions, consider joining a 7-week small group for seekers and skeptics. These peer-led groups, hosted in various locations, will explore key topics from The Reason for God by Tim Keller, such as the problem of evil, science and faith, and the credibility of the Bible. If you know someone interested in learning more, bring them along to process the claims of Jesus together. For details, contact QC@CityTabernacleChurch.org.
